Color : Intense Ruby.
Nose : Deliciously fragrant and clean, with intense floral aromas of Touriga Nacional, complemented by ripe red fruit and nuances of anise. The 12-month aging in French oak barrels gives notes of chocolate, light spice and smoke.
Palate : Very balanced, with noticeable acidity that brings freshness to an intense, full-bodied wine with present but polished tannins. In the retronasal aromas, warm spices such as cinnamon and cloves stand out, adding depth. It finishes firm, fresh and long, inviting you to try it again.
Storage Potential : Excellent for immediate consumption, but will benefit from 3 to 5 years of storage.
Recommended serving temperature:
Being a full-bodied wine, with lively acidity and very aromatic, we recommend serving it between 16 and 17ºC.
Pairing suggestions:
With a very aromatic yet serious character, Família Margaça Touriga Nacional is the perfect companion for intense meat or barbecue dishes. Its great freshness and firm tannins make it ideal for typical Alentejo dishes, such as Iberian pork with breadcrumbs, garlic and olive oil. It also pairs well with cuts of beef rich in fat, such as Picanha or Alcatra, and pepper-based sauces.
